BASF acrylic resin Joncryl 678 is a medium molecular weight, solid, alkali-soluble acrylic resin.

Product Characteristics

• High solid and low viscosity: with high solid content and low viscosity, it shows good fluidity in solution, which is easy to process and operate, and can be used to prepare high solid inks and coatings.
• Fast drying: fast drying, can be cured in a short period of time, improve production efficiency, reduce the chance of dust and other pollutants adhering, thus ensuring the high gloss of the coating.
• Low VOC: No co-solvent is required in the preparation process, low VOC products can be obtained, in line with environmental protection requirements.
• Good transferability: excellent transferability, suitable for applications requiring good transferability, such as printing inks.
• Strong color fixing: it has good color fixing effect on porous and loose substrates, which can make the pigment adhere and develop color better on these substrates.
• High gloss: coatings prepared with this product can obtain high gloss, making the coating have good decorative properties.
• Good workability: less foam during operation, good workability, and good compatibility with most acrylic resins, easy to be used with other resins in the formulation.

Product Applications

• Ink field: It is an important raw material for water-based printing ink, which can provide good linker performance, make the ink have good fluidity, drying and printing suitability, and at the same time, give the ink high gloss, high color strength and excellent transferability, suitable for gravure printing ink, flexo printing ink and other printing ink systems.
• Coating field: It can be used in the preparation of water-based overprint varnish to provide the coating with high gloss, high hardness and scratch resistance, and improve the protective and decorative properties of the coating, and can also be used in furniture coatings, wood coatings, paper coatings and so on, to improve the performance of the coatings.
• Pigment dispersing field: used as pigment dispersant, it can effectively disperse pigment, improve the dispersing stability of pigment, make pigment evenly distributed in the system, so as to improve the color rendering and color saturation of pigment.
