Product Overview
BASF Antioxidant 1010 is a highly effective phenolic primary antioxidant under the trade name Irganox® 1010, which can be used to improve the thermal stability and oxidation resistance of a wide range of organic materials such as plastics and rubbers.
Product Characteristics
- High antioxidant efficiency: as a high molecular weight hindered phenolic antioxidant, it can effectively capture free radicals and prevent the oxidative degradation reaction of polymers, it has excellent antioxidant performance on polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., which can significantly prolong the service life of products.
- Low volatility: non-volatile, can be maintained in the system during processing and use, continue to play the role of antioxidant, but also conducive to improving product quality, will not produce bubbles and other problems due to volatilization.
- Good extraction resistance: it has high extraction resistance, it is not easy to be extracted when contacting with solvents or other media, it can exist stably inside the material and maintain the anti-oxidation effect.
- Good compatibility: good compatibility with most polymers, such as polyolefins, polyaldehyde resins, polyamides, polyurethanes, etc., will not produce phase separation and other problems, does not affect the other properties of the material.
- Colorless, tasteless and environmentally friendly: no coloring, no pollution, basically non-toxic, very low toxicity, rat oral LD50>5g/kg, can be used in food packaging materials and other areas with high hygiene requirements.
Product Applications
Widely used in polyolefins (e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, etc.), polyaldehyde resins, polyamides, polyurethanes, polyesters, PVC, styrene homopolymers or copolymers, ABS resins, synthetic rubbers (e.g. butyl rubber, SBS, SEBS, EPM, EPDM, etc.), natural and synthetic adhesives, as well as paraffin waxes, lubricating oils, fats and greases and other organic materials.
