LANXESS Iron Oxide Red RED 130M is a high performance inorganic pigment.

Product Characteristics

• Production process: Produced using the Laux process, which includes a high temperature calcination step, giving it an inherent hardness higher than other precipitated pigments.
• Form: Micronized high performance red pigment, delivered as a micronized powder.
• Chemical composition: The chemical grade is synthetic iron oxide α – Fe₂O₃ with color index Pigment red 101 (77491) and CAS number 1309 – 37 – 1.
• Color value and tinting power: It has good color value and tinting power, with a light tinting power of 95 – 105.
• Other properties: grinding fineness of 15μm, 30μm, 40μm and other specifications; water-soluble salt maximum value of 0.4%; sieve residue (0.045mm sieve) maximum value of 0.002%; pH value of 5.0 – 8.0; α – Fe ₂ O ₃ content of > 99.2%; particle shape of the sphere, the main particles of size of 0.17μm; oil absorption of about 27g/100g; tamping density of 0.7%; oil absorption of about 27g/100g; the density of 0.7%. The compacted density is 0.7 – 1.1g/ml; the density is about 5.0g/ml. It has strong resistance to color change during high energy dispersion and excellent thermal stability, but during storage, it is necessary to avoid the temperature higher than 120℃ to prevent the pigment from changing due to high temperature dehydration.

Product Applications

• Coating industry: It is suitable for all kinds of coating coloring and protection substances, including water-based interior and exterior wall coatings, powder coatings, etc. It can provide good color performance, covering power and durability for coatings.
• Building materials: It can be used in all kinds of precast concrete and building product materials as pigment or coloring agent, and directly adjusted into cement for application, such as for concrete roof tiles, colored asphalt, bicycle path pavement, etc. It is often used as sign or signal color.
• Plastic industry: It is suitable for coloring thermosetting and thermoplastic plastics, especially used in the field of wood-plastic composite materials.
• Other fields: It can also be used for coloring rubber products, paper, leather, etc. It can also be used for special purposes such as cosmetics.
