Curing agent 593 is an adduct of diethylenetriamine and butyl glycidyl ether, a commonly used curing agent for epoxy resins.

Product Characteristics

• Basic properties: molecular weight 217.13, colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid, relative density 0.985, viscosity (25℃) 90~150mPa・s, total amine value 500~700mgKOH/g. It is soluble in polar solvents such as ethanol, acetone, etc., and has a certain degree of inter-solubility with water, and is low toxicity.
• Quality index: 593A type appearance is light yellow to yellow transparent liquid, chromaticity (platinum a cobalt color number) is 80~100, amine value 600~700mgKOH/g, viscosity (25 ℃) 100~150mPa・s. 593B type appearance is nearly colorless transparent liquid, chromaticity (platinum a cobalt color number) 80~100, amine value 500~600mgKOH/g, viscosity (25 ℃) ≥100mPa・s. 593B type appearance is nearly colorless transparent liquid, chromaticity (platinum a cobalt color number) 80~100, amine value 500~600mgKOH/g, viscosity ( 25℃) ≥100mPa・s.

Product Applications

• Anti-corrosion coatings and adhesives
• Mainly used as room temperature curing agent for epoxy resin adhesive. Reference dosage 18~28 parts, 100g epoxy resin composition applicable period 1h, curing conditions for room temperature / 24h or 80 ℃ / 4h, curing material heat distortion temperature 80~105 ℃.
