Kuraray Poval 3-88 (PVA203) is a polyvinyl alcohol product produced by Kuraray, characterized by good water solubility and strong film-forming properties, and is widely used in a variety of fields.

Product Characteristics

• Water solubility: easily soluble in water, insoluble in almost all organic solvents.
• Film-forming: aqueous solution is easy to form film, the film has excellent tensile strength and abrasion strength and other physical properties.
• Hygroscopicity: the film has low hygroscopicity, and the change of hygroscopicity with humidity is smaller than other water-soluble polymer.
• Drug and oil resistance: strong resistance to weak acids and alkalis, as well as excellent resistance to oil and grease.

Product Applications

• Coatings and Adhesives: It can be used in the production of coatings and adhesives to improve the adhesion and durability of coatings by utilizing its film-forming and bonding properties.
• Paper Processing: As a paper processing agent, it can be used for paper surface treatment to improve the physical properties of paper, such as tensile and tear resistance, etc. It can also be used for paper bonding.
• Textile industry: It can be used as textile slurry for sizing warp yarns to improve the weavability of yarns, reduce breakage, and at the same time give the fabrics a certain degree of softness and gloss.
