O’Leary’s Printex45 carbon black is a furnace processed carbon black produced in Germany with good coloring properties and gloss.

Product Characteristics

• Blue phase hue: with blue phase, this hue feature makes it in ink coloring, can give the ink a unique hue, can meet some of the special requirements of the color of the printing needs, and other colors with the color can be deployed to create a richer color effect.
• High Gloss: It can make the products after ink printing show high gloss, which makes the surface of the printed products more bright and beautiful, and enhances the visual effect and texture of the products, which is suitable for the printing scenes with higher requirements for gloss, such as high-grade packaging printing.
• Lower structure: The low structure of the characteristics of its structure, resulting in the same viscosity of the system, compared with other commonly used carbon black, need to be 20 – 50% higher concentration to achieve similar results. However, because of this, the performance of the ink can be precisely controlled by adjusting the amount of carbon black added in a given formulation.

Product Applications

• Ink field: Besides being suitable for lead, offset, gravure and rubber printing inks, especially for thermosetting inks, it can also be used in the production of some special inks. For example, Printex45 carbon black is the ideal colorant in some inks which need high gloss and black color in blue phase. At the same time, it can also play an excellent role in some high-end printing inks that require high printing accuracy and color reproduction, such as fine picture books and high-grade trademark printing inks.
